Why Pelagic's?

With a need for shore-based processing, Northern Pelagic Group, LLC (NORPEL) was founded in 2002. With the need for shore based processing to support the talented pelagic fleet, NORPEL designed and built and ultra-modern pelagic processing plant using the newest in pumping, grading and processing equipment.

NORPEL's pelagic products, Atlantic Mackerel and Atlantic Herring, are two species that were abundant in the Northwest Atlantic Ocean waters off the coast of the USA near New England.

Coupled with the ever-increasing demand from worldwide markets, NORPEL is poised to now serve those markets with its' nearly 50,000MT annual production.

What products do we carry?:

NORPEL provides Whole Round pelagics to customers world wide.  The species of fish we are able to provide are Atlantic Mackerel and Atlantic Herring.
